General cleaning can be arranged on a daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Depending on the needs of the service user, it can include vacuuming, dusting, cleaning floors, bathrooms, and kitchen, insides of fridges microwaves etc.
Extra Support will ensure every area of the home is given the appropriate attention.
Many elderly people feel vulnerable when out in the community (especially during the winter months). Extra Support can arrange a Home Help to accompany them shopping to avoid them being nervous on their own.
Alternatively, a Home Help can call in for a shopping list and go and collect shopping.
Our Laundry service involves washing, ironing changing bed linen, a task which an elderly person can find extremely difficult to cope with.

Especially used by service user who do not have any friends or relatives living close by. Some elderly just requires some company on occasions somebody just popping in for a cup of tea and a chat. This service is reassuring to the service user and their relatives as it can help them relax in the knowledge that somebody is calling in to check all is well it also alleviates loneliness an elderly person can experience.
We can provide a Home Help to allow a main carer to have some “me time”. Attend a family function, attending an appointment, or just time out, knowing their loved one is being cared for.
Coming home from hospital can be traumatic as well as emotional arriving home to an empty house. We have recently launched a new successful scheme of meet & greet for you to arrive home to be welcomed by a Home Help who will be there waiting for you with kettle boiled for a nice cup of tea.
